Enjoying a cup of coffee in a traditional Hanok.

While walking near Dongseong-ro in Daegu, I visited the Starbucks Daegu Jongno Hanok, a place I had wanted to stop by at least once.

Unlike typical Starbucks stores, this one is remodeled from a 100-year-old Hanok, and the atmosphere is truly unique from the moment you step inside.

◇ Location:

▪︎ 22, Jungang-daero 77-gil, Jung-gu, Daegu

◇ Business Hours:

▪︎ Daily from 08:00 to 22:00, open year-round (please check before visiting as hours may vary)

◇ Where to Park?

▪︎ No dedicated parking available

▪︎ Use nearby public or paid parking lots

▪︎ Public transportation is highly recommended!

☆ Finding the Entrance

The entrance caught my eye even before I stepped inside the café.

The wooden Hanok gate was surprisingly heavy, and the natural wood grain on the pillars was much better in person than in photos.

As I walked slowly under the roof, the calm atmosphere made me forget that I was in the middle of the city, creating a sense of comfort.

Even before getting my coffee, I felt like I could spend a long time in this space.

☆ Stepping Inside

As soon as I opened the door, my eyes were drawn to the dessert display case.

The cakes and pastries inside looked so inviting that I felt compelled to choose at least one.

The entire space felt warm, likely due to the Hanok structure, and the soft lighting made it comfortable from the start.

The sounds of people ordering and chatting blended naturally, creating a soothing atmosphere.

On one side, seasonal goods and mugs were on display, and I lost track of time browsing through them.

The interior maintained the Hanok's original structure, making it feel like a different kind of space while still being a Starbucks.

☆ Exploring the Garden

As I ventured further inside, I discovered a surprisingly spacious garden.

At first glance, it seemed just pretty, but standing there for a moment relaxed my mind.

Even with many tables, it didn't feel crowded, and the sunlight was gentle as it filtered into the courtyard.

On a nice day, sitting here with a coffee would make time slip away.

The well in the middle drew my attention, and the combination of the stone wall and Hanok created a unique atmosphere that was hard to capture in photos.

So, I enjoyed just watching the scene quietly.

As long as the weather is warm, this is a place where I would love to sit with a cup of coffee and let my thoughts drift.

☆ Checking Out the Annex

I didn’t take a picture of the shoe rack, but it seems like changing shoes is common here!

There was a sign near the entrance reminding visitors to change their shoes.

Since this space is designed for sitting on the floor, it’s clear they paid attention to even the small details.

This kind of attention to detail enhances the overall impression of the space.

As soon as I stepped inside, the air felt different.

There was a subtle scent of wood.

Inside, a lovely Christmas tree welcomed me, signaling the holiday season!

The seating area featured low tables typical of Hanok, inviting guests to sit comfortably without shoes.

At first, I thought it might be a hassle, but sitting down was actually quite comfortable, and the garden looked like a beautiful picture frame.

As sunlight streamed in through the windows, the shadows cast on the floor were lovely, making me want to just sit quietly and watch my coffee cool.

In this space, conversations naturally softened.

The interior design was understated and didn’t detract from the space, reflecting thoughtful consideration.

☆ Today's Menu

Today, I ordered two iced Americanos, a warm decaf Americano, and a Starbucks Winter Scotch Latte.

The iced Americano was filled with ice, looking refreshing, and the first sip was clean and satisfying, confirming it was a safe choice.

It had a flavor that made it easy to enjoy continuously, matching the ambiance perfectly.

The warm decaf Americano felt comforting as I held the cup, and its smooth taste made it perfect for sipping slowly.

It felt especially fitting to enjoy this coffee inside the Hanok.

The Winter Scotch Latte, one of Starbucks' mission drinks, caught my eye with its toppings.

With the first sip, the sweet Scotch flavor was delightful, followed by a hint of coffee, making it enjoyable like a dessert.

If you like sweet drinks, I highly recommend trying this one.

Overall, the combination of coffee flavors and the ambiance was just right for leisurely sipping and chatting.
