Seoul's Gardening Program

'After Work Gardening' is being expanded!

This program combines the humanities with plant practice and will run a total of 40 sessions until December.

On days when you feel reluctant to go home after work,

why not spend some healing time with plants?

Where and how is the 'After Work Gardening' program for office workers in Seoul conducted?

'After Work Gardening' combines humanities and gardening

to allow office workers to enjoy their leisure time after work!

This program is offered at three locations:

Gabaedo City Hall / Gabaedo Myeongdong / Gabaedo Noryangjin

Operating Period: Until December 17, 2026

Total Sessions: 38 regular sessions + 2 special lectures (40 sessions)

Time: Every Thursday at 7 PM

Participants: 15 per session

Participation Fee: 10,000 KRW (includes materials)

How is the regular program structured?

The 'After Work Gardening' regular course combines humanities themes and plant practice according to the seasons.

Each season features different themes where participants learn about plants and gardens through hands-on practice.

Spring: Movies

Summer: Gardens

Fall: Writers

Winter: Books

Operating Period: May 7, 2026 - June 11, 2026

Application Starts: April 6, 2026, at 10 AM

Application Method: Seoul Public Service Reservation (first-come, first-served)

Spring Semester Program Schedule:

Session 1: 'Aglaonema' from 'Léon' - May 7, 2026, City Hall - 15 participants

Session 2: 'Roses' from 'Madame Proust's Secret Garden' - May 21, 2026, City Hall - 15 participants

Session 3: 'European Geranium' from 'Flower Show' - June 4, 2026, City Hall - 15 participants

The application for the Spring Semester program will be on a first-come, first-served basis starting April 6 at 10 AM!

Summer Semester: June 18 - August 20, 2026

Programs: 'Gardens' theme, Terrarium making, Mini garden ecosystem experience

Fall Semester: September 3 - October 22, 2026

Programs: 'Writers' theme, Rosemary and Lavender smudge making, Geranium wreath making

Winter Semester: October 27 - December 10, 2026

Programs: 'Books' theme, Olive tree practice, Pine cone tree making

Are there special lectures?

In addition to the regular course, there will be two special lectures focusing on plants and gardening culture, inviting experts to share their knowledge.

Summer Special Lecture: August 27 - Moss Garden Practice

Winter Special Lecture: December 17 - Garden Design Lecture and Tree Making
