A Spring Day at Munam Ecological Park
On a warm, sunny weekend, I visited Munam Ecological Park, where spring flowers are in full bloom.
Opened in 2010 as an urban theme park, Munam Ecological Park is comprised of ecological, wellness, and family park areas.
Located in Cheongju, it is a popular destination for locals.
Munam Ecological Park features an AR zoo.
By downloading an augmented reality app on your phone, you can discover various animal friends.
Throughout the park, you can find ten types of animals, including giraffes, elephants, tigers, rhinos, crocodiles, gorillas, and moon bears, making it a great experience for children.
The park is filled with picnic spots.
Families enjoy their time under flowering trees and pines, laying out mats to relax.
The spacious lawns are perfect for playing ball games and running around with kids.
It’s also a great place to exercise with your dogs.
For those without mats, there are pavilions where you can take a break.
Munam Ecological Park also has camping and barbecue areas.
Reservations for these facilities must be made through the official Cheongju City booking page.
During cherry blossom season, the barbecue area is quite popular.
The delicious smell of grilled meat is irresistible.
Walking past the barbecue area, you enter the ecological square.
A beautiful cherry blossom path unfolds, reminiscent of a fairy tale.
Just walking along this path brings joy to the heart.
Inside the cherry blossom path, there is a tulip garden.
The tulip garden features a white moon rabbit and adorable bunnies.
While the tulips have not fully bloomed yet, they are expected to showcase a variety of colors soon.
There are photo zones set up throughout, perfect for capturing memories.
Within the ecological square, there is a clay path for the health of citizens.
A foot-washing area is also provided, making it a great spot for a walk.
Munam Ecological Park has plenty of spaces for children.
With a wide inline skating rink, an adventure playground for challenges and achievements, a sand playground for fun, and a regular playground with swings and slides, there are many options for an enjoyable time.
Children can ride their bikes along the paths.
Seeing them zoom by brings me joy.
I had a wonderful spring outing at Munam Ecological Park, where cherry blossoms, magnolias, dandelions, and serviceberry flowers bloom, signaling the arrival of spring.
With tulip buds still waiting to bloom, I recommend a picnic at Munam Ecological Park this week!
