The pine tree is a familiar and beloved symbol for us, as highlighted in the national anthem with the phrase "Pine tree on Namsan".

Located within Sokrisan Solhyang Park, the Pine Tree Media Forest is a remodeled space that transformed the existing pine tree exhibition hall.

It opened on February 12, 2026, as part of the 4th phase of the regional balanced development project in Chungcheongbuk-do.

Address: 600 Sokrisan-ro, Sokrisan-myeon, Boeun-gun, Chungbuk

Admission: Free

Parking: Free

Restrooms are available inside.

This immersive media art exhibition hall allows visitors to experience the shape and culture of pine trees through light, video, and sound, rather than being just a simple exhibition about pine trees. The immersive media utilizes digital signal processing technology to replicate or mimic real-world environments, providing users with sensory experiences similar to the real world.

Upon entering, there is a small relaxation area to the left, with several themed spaces in front and to the right.

Starting from the right, the exhibit titled "Pine Tree: Joy of Life" features six panels that depict the scene of a thin beam of light awakening seeds in darkness, allowing roots to grow into pine trees, capturing the continuity of life and the weight of time. The reflection on the floor enhances the magical atmosphere.

The space called "Graceful" creates an illusion of entering a forest with numerous lamps and three screens displaying an endlessly cascading waterfall, immersing visitors in a sensory and fantastical forest.

In the exhibition space titled "Protected Trees of Boeun," visitors can touch images of trees on the screen to learn about their names and locations, providing an interactive experience that highlights Chungbuk Boeun's commitment to tree preservation.

Surrounded by various lights, quotes about pine trees from familiar figures like Lee Gyubo and Kwon Geun are showcased.

The "Pine Tree Color Splash" area allows visitors to color animal outlines with colored pencils, which are then scanned to appear on a large digital screen. Touching the animals makes them come to life, creating an engaging and creative experience, especially for children.

The "Treasured" section displays the seasonal changes of the iconic Jeongipumsong pine tree through time-lapse footage, showcasing its majestic beauty.

It is recommended to watch the entire video to appreciate the pine tree's seasonal changes and the landscape of Sokrisan.

Visitors can fully experience the Pine Tree Media Forest within about an hour, enjoying immersive media art, live sketching, and the beauty of the natural monument, the famous Jeongipumsong.
