Refreshing Buckwheat Noodles at Jincheon

While searching for a place to have dinner in Jincheon, I suddenly craved some refreshing cold buckwheat noodles and decided to visit 'Sikgol Buckwheat Noodles' after a long time.
On a hot day, cold noodle dishes are always the first thing that comes to mind, and 'Sikgol Buckwheat Noodles' is well-known in Jincheon for its delicious buckwheat noodles, attracting a large crowd.
Located at 179 Wondeok-ro, Jincheon-eup, Jincheon-gun, it's only about a 5-minute drive from Jincheon County Hall. The first floor features the buckwheat noodle restaurant, while the second floor houses a cafe called 'Oruda', making it convenient to enjoy both.
Although there's a parking lot available, it can be challenging to find a spot during meal times due to its popularity. If the parking lot is full, you may need to park at the nearby block or the Jincheon Comprehensive Sports Town parking lot and walk over.
During lunch or dinner hours, there may be a wait, but the turnover rate is good, so you'll be seated quickly.
The interior is entirely set up for seated dining, allowing for a comfortable meal. Even though I arrived right after the break time ended, the place was packed with people.
'Sikgol Buckwheat Noodles' was newly designated as an exemplary restaurant in 2025, selected based on hygiene and service standards, so you can trust the quality of your meal.
The menu is prominently displayed at the front, making it easy to check out. In winter, they also offer various dishes like handmade dumplings and soup.
When paying, you need to mention your table number, and if you keep your receipt from 'Sikgol Buckwheat Noodles', you can enjoy a 20% discount on Americano at the second-floor 'Oruda' cafe.
While the bibim buckwheat noodles are great, we found the cold buckwheat noodles to be the most delicious. Paired with spicy buckwheat pancakes, it makes for a delightful combination, especially refreshing on hot summer days.
The buckwheat noodles are topped with cucumber, sprouts, and seaweed, blending well with the unique nutty flavor of buckwheat and the cool broth.
You can help yourself to buckwheat tea at the self-service bar, and you can also take some in a kettle. If you need additional side dishes, just ask the staff.
'Sikgol Buckwheat Noodles' is also a participating store for the Jincheon Love Card, making it convenient for those using local currency to visit.
If you find yourself traveling through Jincheon, I highly recommend cooling off with a bowl of refreshing buckwheat noodles.
