Shinan County Recognized for Excellence in Active Administration
Shinan County has been selected as an excellent institution in the
2025 Comprehensive Evaluation of Active Administration
conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
This evaluation assessed 243 local governments nationwide based on
▲ Efforts to promote active administration
▲ Utilization and implementation of systems
▲ Achievements in national agenda efforts
A total of 18 indicators across 5 categories were comprehensively evaluated.
Shinan County achieved balanced results across all indicators,
earning its place among the excellent institutions.
In particular, the county received high praise for strengthening the active administration framework,
selecting outstanding public officials, and providing
substantial incentives such as bonuses and award vacations.
Additionally, the establishment of institutional safeguards,
such as the operation of active administration immunity protection officers
and support for public officials in legal disputes,
has created an environment where officials can perform their duties with confidence.
Moreover, at the 2025 Active Administration Best Practices Competition,
Shinan County received the Prime Minister's Award for the case of
'Saving 300 billion won and accelerating energy legislation by 3 years.'
The county also won excellence and encouragement awards at the Jeollanam-do Active Administration Competition,
continuing to achieve success in discovering and disseminating best practices.
Active administration is creating changes in the daily lives of citizens,
and we look forward to the future endeavors of Shinan County.
