Shinan County's Language Exchange Program in Washington State

Shinan County and the Shinan County Scholarship Foundation
are initiating a language study program in Washington State, USA,
targeting middle school students in the region.
On January 19, a total of 26 students
departed for Seattle with excitement.
This language study program is not just a simple overseas visit,
but a customized educational program reflecting the characteristics of each grade level.
12 second-year middle school students will participate
in experiential English classes at Giaudrone Middle School,
learning English as a natural part of daily life rather than just studying it.
14 third-year middle school students will experience
advanced English education and actual school life at Mt. Tahoma High School,
allowing them to discover their potential in a global environment.
Through this program, students are expected to enhance their English communication skills
as well as their understanding of multiculturalism and their abilities as global citizens.
Notably, this program includes a 2-night, 3-day field trip to Canada,
providing a valuable opportunity to directly compare the educational and cultural environments of the USA and Canada.
Shinan County is committed to creating an educational environment
where children can grow their dreams,
actively promoting experiential education abroad.
We hope this language study program will be a significant turning point
for students to boost their confidence and explore their career paths.
Shinan County is cheering for them!
