Tuberculosis Prevention Week in Sinan County

Hello!
This is Sinan County.
In observance of the 16th Tuberculosis Prevention Day
(March 24),
we have designated the period from March 22 to 28 as
'Tuberculosis Prevention Week.'
We are conducting various campaigns to protect the health of our residents.
During this prevention week,
we implemented a community-centered tuberculosis prevention campaign
at the Jeodo Traditional Market and the Imja Senior College.
At the campaign site, we provided practical health information, including:
✔️ Guidelines for tuberculosis prevention
✔️ Promotion of the importance of early screening
Sinan County is also expanding prevention activities to island areas,
installing banners in all 14 towns and villages, including places like Gageodo and Hongdo,
to actively encourage early detection and participation in screenings.
Additionally, we are conducting online promotions through our county website and social media,
to reach more residents with vital information.
If you experience symptoms like:
???? A cough or phlegm lasting more than two weeks
???? Unexplained weight loss
please visit your nearest health center or medical facility for screening.
Especially for seniors over 65,
it is crucial to have an annual tuberculosis screening,
even if you do not have symptoms.
Your small attention and actions can greatly contribute to a healthy Sinan County.
We appreciate your continued interest and participation!
