Hello! I came to Daecheon Beach to enjoy the refreshing winter sea.

As the largest beach on the West Coast, Daecheon Beach stretches 3.5 km long and 100 m wide.

The scenery during high and low tides is quite different. Fortunately, it was high tide when I arrived, and the sea was right in front of me.

The view from the deck is magnificent.

The sight of seagulls frolicking by the sea is peaceful. They seem to be searching for food in the sand, while I find nothing despite digging.

Families and couples are enjoying the sea. Looking at the calm waters brings a sense of peace and tranquility.

There are benches available for sitting side by side and admiring the sea. I notice facilities that I didn’t see in the summer due to the crowds.

The cute character of Boryeong City poses beautifully against the sunset backdrop, living up to the fame of Noeul Square.

The annual Mud Festival attracts many visitors who fall in love with the charms of mud, offering activities like mud packs and mud slides.

This quiet winter sea feels like a different beach altogether.

At the right end of Mud Square, there are zip lines and sky bikes. They say it feels exhilarating to rush towards the sea from such heights, but unfortunately, I couldn’t ride due to strong winds.

The sky bike is Korea's first marine rail bike, connecting Daecheon Beach and Daecheon Port.

It runs a round trip of 2.3 km for 40 minutes, and it's recommended to ride during high tide if possible.

Many people are enjoying the experience. It looks like an adventure that people of all ages can enjoy together.

Daecheon Beach is surrounded by many pine trees. The view of the sea from under the pine trees is stunning, especially when the sunlight reflects off the water.

Despite being winter, many people are walking along the beach. Experiencing the winter sea breeze while strolling is quite unique.

There are rules to follow at the beach, such as prohibiting illegal activities like street vending and unauthorized installations, as well as cooking or camping. Swimming is also prohibited outside designated hours (10 AM to 7 PM).

The beach is equipped with showers and storage facilities. I was able to wash off the sand while walking along the beach, allowing me to enjoy my beach experience cleanly until the end.

The winter beach at Daecheon has its own romance. Even if you’re not visiting for swimming, it’s a great place to stroll and enjoy the winter sea scent.
