Exploring the Singing Fountain at Ilsan Lake Park: A Summer Night Delight

Hello!
As the summer heat intensifies, more people are seeking refreshing outdoor spots to enjoy.
Last weekend, I visited Ilsan Lake Park with my child to see the 'Singing Fountain'. We initially went to watch the fountain performance, but we ended up enjoying the splash pad, picnicking, cycling, and walking as well, making it a perfect family outing for a summer night.
Ilsan Lake Park is a summer night hotspot in Goyang City, featuring the 'Singing Fountain'. Before the performance, we enjoyed the splash pad and had a picnic!
Around Hanul Plaza, where the 'Singing Fountain' is located, both the stepped fountain and splash pad operate together. Children can run through the refreshing water streams, while adults can relax on the grass with a picnic mat and snacks, enjoying a leisurely time.
Even those not using the splash pad set up mats to enjoy the picnic atmosphere until the performance started.
**Splash Pad Operating Information**
**Operating Days**: Weekends and holidays in April, May, June (12:00 PM - 6:00 PM) and July, August (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, weekends, and holidays).
**Performance Times**: The 'Singing Fountain' performance starts at 6 PM, transitioning from water play to fountain shows. As the splash pad closed, families began to head home, while others settled in to enjoy the evening performance.
It felt like the atmosphere shifted from family-centered water play to an audience eager to enjoy the summer night music fountain.
With about two hours to spare before the show, we had a great time either dining or strolling around.
**Cycling Around the Lake Park**
Ilsan Lake Park is also a great place for cycling. You can rent bikes within the park, or bring your own bicycles, scooters, or skateboards to enjoy the well-maintained walking paths along the lake.
As night fell and darkness set in, people began gathering around Hanul Plaza to enjoy the 'Singing Fountain', which is a performance fountain combining music, lights, and water streams, making it one of the main attractions at Ilsan Lake Park during summer nights.
The fountain's water jets shot high in sync with the music, captivating the audience. Children cheered with delight, and adults captured the magical summer night atmosphere on their phones.
**Tips for Your Visit**
1. Enjoy without worrying about food: There are convenience stores and snack booths nearby, and the surrounding area has plenty of options for drinks, snacks, and dinner.
2. Great viewing spots for the fountain show: The 'Singing Fountain' has a circular structure, allowing for a view from any direction. However, if you want to enjoy the lake park's night scenery, choose a spot facing the lake.
3. Bring a light jacket: As of June 13, after sunset, it can get chilly with the breeze, so a light cardigan or windbreaker is advisable.
4. Parking information: The closest parking lot is the First Public Parking Lot, with affordable rates. We used the Garosu-gil Parking Lot, which offers parking support for customers of nearby shops.
Ilsan Lake Park's 'Singing Fountain' is not just a place to enjoy fountain performances. During the day, you can play in the splash pad, cycle around the park, and in the evening, relax on a mat while enjoying the music fountain. If you want to spend a refreshing summer night with your family without traveling far, consider visiting the 'Singing Fountain' at Ilsan Lake Park!
Thank you!
