Growing Future Talent Through Reading at Haengsin Children's Library

In a world where various media have remarkably advanced and the pace of AI development is overwhelming, what do our children need the most?
It is the power to expand their thoughts wide and deep through 'reading'.
Let's visit the 'Haengsin Children's Library' where future talents grow!
As the saying goes, "Habits formed at three last until eighty," the joyful memories of reading books with friends at the library during childhood become a strong foundation for growing into adults who comfortably visit libraries later in life.
Let's visit the 'Haengsin Children's Library' where future talents grow!
When my first child started to walk, I recalled the warm memories of reading books together at a nearby library.
I visited the 'Goyang City Haengsin Children's Library' for the ongoing 2026 first half field trip program, 'Let's Go to the Library!'
I also participated in the experience and would like to share it with you.

As the clock struck 10:30 AM, the quiet first floor of Haengsin Children's Library filled with the adorable energy of children.
Children from the nearby kindergarten's '5-year-old' class came to participate in the field trip program.
With their little fingers on their lips whispering, "Shh!" they entered quietly, bringing smiles to everyone.
Bright eyes and eager ears, the Tuesday program began with storytime led by volunteer teachers from the 'Children's Book Research Association Haengsin Neungok Branch'.
The children gathered in a circle in front of the teacher, captivated by the storybooks.
Some children provided unexpected answers to the teacher's questions, yet they all spoke brightly and confidently, which was truly heartwarming.
After the storytime, the 'free reading time' began.
Each child hugged a book they wanted to read and settled into their spot.
The sight of their little backs bent over the shelves was more beautiful than any scenery.
From English originals to accessibility corners, this is a space for mutual growth!
After the program, I explored various areas of Haengsin Children's Library.
Not only are there abundant diverse English books for children, but there is also a notable corner for visually impaired individuals.
This library serves as a valuable educational space where children learn to naturally integrate with people with disabilities through an open environment.
There was also a 'story room' for friends who want to read aloud.
As I moved to the second floor, I found a well-prepared corner for books for parents alongside children's books.
In the morning, parents dropping off their children and local adult users enjoyed reading in a calm atmosphere.
Developing a habit of loving and visiting the library from an early age fosters strong reading skills.
This 'power of reading' will be the strongest engine that helps our children not just be dependent on technology but become 'future talents' who can lead and utilize AI effectively.
How about starting our children's first library outing this first half of the year with 'Haengsin Children's Library'?
Thank you.
