Curious about the cherry blossoms after last night's rain, I set out for a weekend drive to Gokbok Natural Park, a must-visit cherry blossom spot in Sejong City.

Among them, Gokbok Natural Park serves as a reliable retreat for Sejong citizens and a popular spring outing location.
This place is the first that comes to mind when thinking of 'Sejong cherry blossom drive spots,' and I am excited to share the real-time scenery of Gokbok Natural Park, bursting with pink blossoms!
Currently, Gokbok Natural Park has just begun to bloom.
The cherry blossom tunnel visible from the road entering Gokbok Reservoir made my heart flutter.
Just driving through and witnessing the cherry petals fluttering outside the window fills me with joy, showing the significant energy that flowers provide.
Gokbok Natural Park was bustling with many visitors enjoying the cherry blossom drive this weekend.
Along the circular road surrounding the reservoir, decades-old cherry trees stretch their branches densely, filling the blue sky with soft pink hues.
Even if there is a bit of traffic, the slow pace of the vehicles feels like a blessing.
The current blooming rate of the cherry blossoms is about 40%, and it seems that around April 10th, they will be in full bloom. This coming weekend is the golden time to enjoy the most beautiful spring scenery!
For those with wheelchairs or strollers, starting from the "Visitor Center Parking Lot" allows for a comfortable walk along the accessible deck path without any slopes.
The Visitor Center also offers free wheelchair and stroller rentals, which is a helpful option.
If you approach the path leading to the waterfront deck, using the parking lot at Gokbokri 580-2 will make your walk even more convenient.
I parked in front of "Minrakjeong," one of the starting points of the deck path.
The picturesque scene of the old-style pavilion adorned with blooming pink cherry blossoms is truly like a painting and is a popular spot for capturing memorable photos.
The "waterfront deck path" that runs along the calm reservoir is a unique charm of this place.
Even though the cherry blossoms are not fully bloomed yet, the reflection of the cherry trees and the lush nature in the water creates a watercolor-like beauty, providing healing throughout the walk.
There are benches along the deck path for resting, making it an ideal walking course for families and couples enjoying a date.
Walking while basking in the warm sunlight and gazing at the shimmering reservoir, every spot becomes a perfect photo zone.
This park, originally created to supply agricultural water, is the only natural park in Sejong City, centered around Gokbok Reservoir.
Designated as a park in 1990, it has long stood as a firm ecological retreat for citizens.
Especially, the long waterfront ecological deck path that encircles the reservoir is easy for anyone to walk, allowing visitors to enjoy the beautiful natural scenery harmonizing with the gentle waves.
This spring, it would have been a shame to miss this view.
