I visited the Okjeong 1-dong Administrative Welfare Center near my home to obtain the necessary documents.

You can use any center, not just the one nearby, so feel free to choose a convenient location!

In the lobby on the first floor, there were two self-service issuance machines available. On that day, there were a few people using them! While there is a counter service, it tends to have longer wait times, making the self-service machine more convenient.

Next to the self-service machine, I noticed a list of documents available for printing. There were more options than I expected!

I needed a resident registration certificate and a family relationship certificate. After selecting the desired button, I moved to the next screen.

The cost was around 200 won, and I had to provide a fingerprint for identity verification. The instructions on the screen were clear, making the process easy!

Card payments are accepted, and I used my card, but there was also a coin slot available.

Once the fingerprint verification was complete, the documents were printed out!

Having access to a self-service machine can be very helpful, especially when you need to submit documents but don't have a printer at home.

After obtaining the required documents, I had some free time and explored the administrative welfare center. I was particularly intrigued by the clothing exchange located on the fourth floor.

The elevator had an introduction about it. It seemed to be a place where children's clothes and school uniforms could be exchanged for free. They even give you a bag when you donate clothes, which was quite appealing, so I decided to check it out.

The exchange takes place on the third Wednesday of every month and operates without staff on weekdays. It allows for the exchange of school uniforms and children's clothing, which is great for quickly growing kids and teenagers.

As soon as I got off the elevator, the door was wide open, making it feel welcoming.

The self-service operation is a significant advantage, allowing visitors to come without any pressure.

While the selection of clothes wasn't vast, it was neatly organized, and I noticed some empty hangers, suggesting that people were indeed using the service!

Since these were children's clothes, they were in excellent condition. The small garments hanging there looked even cuter!

There was also a section for school uniforms. While the variety wasn't extensive, items like shirts and pants could be helpful in emergencies.

There was even a corner for stuffed animals! Some looked brand new, and the sign encouraged visitors to take them freely. After browsing, I picked up a plush toy.

There was a feedback tree with various notes from residents, showcasing a warm and cute sense of community sharing.

Recently, the Ulsan Metropolitan City Welfare Center for the Visually Impaired and the Ulsan Port Authority held a meaningful exchange event.

On December 30, the Ulsan Metropolitan City Welfare Center for the Visually Impaired received a donation of books worth over 20 million won from the Ulsan Port Authority at the Ulsan Port Authority Open Library. This included 480 copies of three types of braille books and 180 audio books (USB & CD).

Among the donated braille books, three titles were selected as the 2025 'Book of the Year' by the Ulsan Library: 'Star Pharmacy' by author Choi Mi-jung for upper-grade children, 'Bouncy Ball' by author Kang I-ra for youth literature, and 'Two People’s International' by author Kim Gi-tae for adult literature.

Upon inspection, we found that foreign substances had accumulated inside, causing the blockage, and the drainage pipe was also broken, leading to water leakage.

Overall, there was significant corrosion and aging, so we replaced all the components.

Due to constant exposure to water and lack of cleaning, sludge had built up in the area.

If we simply reinsert the components, the corrosion would progress quickly, and unpleasant odors could arise. Therefore, we start by thoroughly cleaning the residues.

We installed an automatic pop-up drain. You can push it down to close and pull it up to open. It is also detachable, making it easy to remove hair and other debris from the pop-up trap.

When you lift it slightly, it separates easily.

The sink drainage pipe set was replaced, and the P-trap was installed towards the wall.

The round part collects water, preventing odors and ensuring good drainage. By loosening this round part, you can easily access it in case of blockages.

We carefully wrapped Teflon tape around all connections to prevent any leaks.

All pop-up traps are made in Korea and are high-quality domestic products.

After completing the work, we filled the sink with water and checked for drainage and leaks. Everything was installed properly, and you can now use it comfortably.

The Songak Community Autonomous Council is conducting 'Our Dongnet Youth Reporter' training for first-year students at Songak Middle School as part of the 2025 Village Education Community School project. Preparing to meet a girl...

I started the day by firing up the cookie factory.

Minseon sent me a link out of the blue the day before, and it was so touching... and it turns out she's P, amazing!

This is the most organized date I've ever had... I'm so excited.

I couldn't take an aerial shot.

I rode on car 7, seat 1A.

We planned to meet in front of Hapjeong Station, but it was so cold that I was hiding on the stairs.

Then a girl walked confidently toward me.

How did she know it was me...?

Special: I met this girl for the first time today.

We had toast and mushroom cheese grilled sandwiches.

Oh, so delicious!

Since I usually only go to dessert cafes, it was a delightful brunch after almost nine years.

In fact, it was my second brunch ever.

When I mentioned I brought cookies, she also revealed she had a letter for me, which was so funny and touching.

Before watching a movie, we explored Sangsamdang. I spotted the sun and exclaimed how many suns were here!

It was so moving to finally see 'Yunhee' in theaters. I remember being disappointed when I saw the poster was sold out, but I got lucky with a different version.

Minseon mentioned she got exhibition tickets, so we headed to Hangangjin to enjoy the day.

The Ground Seesaw exhibition was amazing, but we got a bit lost trying to find the entrance.

We entered the exhibition we had been wanting to see, and it was much bigger than expected, with a fantastic display!

The unique work methods were fascinating, especially the design of the pamphlet that allowed us to punch it ourselves.

We couldn't help but write our observations in our urban diary.

In one area, the white parts changed to red due to body heat, and we played around like kids.

The last space was themed 'The Room of Glass,' and we had fun making silly comments.

Finally, we entered the goods zone. I didn't have high expectations, but the merchandise was surprisingly great!

We both ended up getting what we liked from the gacha machine.

Afterward, we planned to head to Anguk but decided to visit the Leeum Museum instead.

After purchasing tickets, I realized I had left my ID at the counter, which was quite a hassle.

Once inside, I was amazed at the spaciousness of the museum, even though we had to skip the long waiting line.

There was a long line for a karaoke booth in the museum, which was unexpected.

After enjoying the exhibitions, I felt quite hungry.

We went to a delicious okonomiyaki place in Daejeon, but I was disappointed again.

We ended up at Sangsu Kotetsu, where I wanted to have a draft beer but found out it was sold out.

We ordered okonomiyaki and yakisoba, and thankfully, Minseon enjoyed her meal.

As we were about to head to Seoul Station, I realized I had left my film at the photo shop.

After retrieving my film, I accidentally left my power bank on the train.

In total, I went back and forth between Sangsu and Hapjeong three times due to my silly mistakes.

But despite the chaos, I had a fantastic time with Minseon, and we laughed it off.

Finally, we made it to Seoul Station, where Minseon surprised me by showing up at my window just before the train departed.

It was such a heartwarming moment to have someone send me off at the train station.

After a long day filled with laughter and adventures, I realized how much I enjoyed the day.

In the end, I was relieved to find out my lost items were safe at the train station.

Changing the kitchen lighting for the New Year!

I installed indirect lighting in the upper cabinets, changed the dining table light, and added wall lights next to the island. The dining table light is the renewed version of the IKEA Nymane, and I really like it!

When it comes to interior design, I think lighting is the most important aspect. The photos taken at the dining table look so much prettier now.

As the year comes to an end, I received cakes and wine as gifts from members. Thank you so much!

The chocolate cake was incredibly delicious, topped with what seemed like raspberry jam. It was refreshing, and the sweetness of the cake paired perfectly.

Whenever the salt bread truck comes by, I can't resist buying some. I love salt bread!

Everyday Training and Small Wins

In my training sessions at home, I find it hard to get my body warmed up, so I prefer to stick to basic movements for practice.

For the first time, I won a benefit from the blog challenge! I’ve participated from the very beginning, and this is my first win. Thank you!

Out of curiosity for the wine I received as a gift, I ordered pizza on the 31st to enjoy it together. The wine seemed to pair well with meat, but I was craving pizza. I’m not very knowledgeable about wine, but I felt it was somewhat dry. The pizza from Pizza Hut was quite rich, so it matched well. The wine was Two Hands Angels Share Shiraz.

On New Year's Eve, I wrapped up the night with home training. As expected, my body felt less warmed up than usual. I wonder if I should turn up the heating? But I’ll just go with the flow.

Looking back at photos from my training over the past year, I always thought I was stagnant, but I was surprised to see how much I’ve improved. I used to struggle to reach my feet in handstands, but now it feels much easier. I hope to manage without assistance in the coming year.

New Year’s Day Outing

On January 1st, I went out to Namdaemun Market! I’ve always wanted to visit the eel alley there, and after seeing a show where a celebrity worked at a restaurant there, I decided to go!

There are many eel stews restaurants, but we chose the one the celebrity visited, Jeonju Restaurant. It was a small place with two floors. We arrived around 11 AM and were the second customers, but it quickly filled up. I love seafood, and everything was delicious—the stew, the fried dishes, and the savory steamed egg!

Cafe Time and Small Discoveries

After eating, we headed to a cafe in a hotel. I feel like there aren’t many cafes near City Hall. I’ve seen The Plaza Hotel while passing by, but it was my first time going inside. As soon as I entered, I saw a beautiful Christmas tree!

The seating area on the first floor was quite unique. I enjoyed French toast with warm coffee. I made sure to refill my Americano as well.

However, it felt a bit cold in the hotel on January 1st, possibly because of the large windows near my seat. The French toast was much better than I expected—fluffy and soft, while the Americano tasted just right.

While exploring CU, I found something new and bought the Original Shine Mochi! It has a grape and milk cream filling, and it was absolutely delicious. I think there’s a strawberry version as well, and I’d love to try that!

Looking Ahead

As 2025 passes, I can’t believe I’ve aged another year. I hope to continue being someone who sees myself just as I am.

It was delicious, but there’s another famous salt bread place nearby.

They have lines even on weekdays, and they sell out by 2 or 3 PM, but is it really that good?

I went to another salt bread shop instead.

Yes, I start with a penalty of 15 points for waiting.

If I say I love it and want to go back, then it’s a real gem.

Good restaurants give you that immediate dopamine hit.

Anyway, I bought two of each type.

Two basic salt breads, two with sesame, and two Dubai breads.

I heard the Dubai bread isn’t great, but I was curious and bought it anyway.

It was a bit challenging to eat, but it was better than the other.

And the price is much lower, so I'd rather have this.

It tasted like a basic salt bread with 5-7 Ferrero Rocher crushed on top and a third of a Nutella jar mixed in.

Sweet and salty, but not overwhelmingly sweet.

I couldn’t finish one; it took me an hour to eat two-thirds.

Normally, I can finish a cake in 20 minutes.

I can eat half a cake alone at my local bakery.

I love desserts, but this one was tough.

However, cutting it in half and freezing it made it better.

Maybe I was just too full that day! It was delicious!

For Dubai salt bread, eat it fresh or freeze half and let it thaw before eating; it’s much tastier that way.

Exercise Thoughts and Looking Ahead

Next week’s diary will probably include some exercise.

It feels like it’s been 3-4 months since I last exercised, and now my back is starting to hurt.

Last time I checked my body fat at the gym, it had increased by 3 kg.

It’s probably the same or worse now.

I really need to exercise to survive.

But I’m feeling sore from working out, and it’s hard to walk the next day.

I love that feeling; it shows I’ve worked out.

But doing that alone is tough.

For now, I’ll try to do a little exercise next week and see how it goes. If that doesn’t work, I might just hit the gym and do some stair climbing for 15-20 minutes.

Peony Bouquet Drying Clear Glass Dome Mood Lamp

This bouquet was a peony bouquet!

A large peony bouquet with a strong presence, featuring peonies as the main flowers and lily of the valley as accents!

Peony bouquets are often made into framed bouquet replicas due to the large size of the flowers.

The customer who made the reservation this time chose the Clear Glass Dome after seeing it.

Neither the customer nor I expected the bouquet to be peonies!

Would this large bouquet even fit in the small glass dome?!

Since the customer wanted it, I had to make it happen!

I assured the customer that I would create something beautiful.

I'll make it beautiful no matter what!

The flowers seem to have grown even bigger! Haha.

First, let's dry them beautifully.

If the flowers are dried beautifully, I can make anything!

After about 7 weeks, the dried flowers were even more open and dried beautifully with fully bloomed peonies!

The lily of the valley also dried beautifully.

Now, all that's left is to carefully place these flowers in the glass dome.

Since the peonies are large, the space would be filled with just one flower if placed as is!

So, I assembled the flowers petal by petal!

I repeatedly checked if they fit well inside the glass dome while assembling the petals to achieve the right proportions.

This project required a lot of handiwork!

But it was all worth it because the result was so beautiful and the customer was satisfied!

The customer even participated in the review event, so I also made a cone ring holder for her!

I made it with delicate lily of the valley and peony petals.

She loved the ring holder as well!!

It was hosting Try Everything 2025, a global startup festival bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, and innovative ideas leading the global startup ecosystem. This dynamic international expo, where numerous startup players share their visions and explore new collaboration opportunities, was a massive arena of energy in itself.

Our private ambulance 911 Transport Center team had the honor of being responsible for on-site emergency support for this meaningful event, taking charge of the safety of participants at the forefront of innovation. The three-day event was not just large in scale; it also required thorough safety management to prepare for unpredictable variables. In particular, our most important mission was to respond quickly to potential medical situations, given the high concentration of participants of various nationalities and the long duration of the event.

Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP): A Stage for Challenge and Response

The DDP's iconic streamlined architecture boasts a futuristic design, but it also presented several challenges from an event emergency support perspective. Before the event began, our team meticulously examined the interior and exterior of the DDP, focusing on selecting the optimal locations to approach and move most quickly in the event of an emergency. In particular, securing golden time in an international expo crowded with numerous people was paramount. Identifying complex traffic lines and structures in advance, and securing emergency passages through close communication with the organizers, was when our seasoned experience shined.

As the event began, the DDP transformed into a sea of vitality. From the heated IR pitching sessions to the booths where cutting-edge technology was experienced firsthand, and the continuous networking sessions, the passion and energy of the participants overflowed in every space. We stationed a private ambulance near the DDP's main entrance and patrolled the venue, monitoring the condition of the participants. Our mission was to quietly fulfill our role out of sight.

Moments of Tension and Sighs of Relief

Fortunately, there were no major accidents, but small medical requests continued. One young entrepreneur complained of dizziness due to extreme stress after successfully completing a pitch he had prepared for several nights. We quickly guided him to the emergency treatment booth to check his blood pressure and blood sugar and helped him rest. In another case, a foreign investor suddenly sprained his wrist and complained of pain. After first aid, we immediately prepared to connect with a nearby hospital, providing a rapid response.

The most memorable moment was when a participant approached us after finishing his pitch and said, "I was able to concentrate on my presentation with peace of mind because you were so reliably protecting us out of sight." We realized that our presence was not limited to emergency situations but also played a role in providing psychological stability to the participants.

Try Everything 2025 was not just about creating successful business outcomes; it was also a place where all participants could fully unleash their potential in a safe and pleasant environment. During this period, our team dealt with more than 100 minor emergency situations and contributed to the event's conclusion without a single major accident. We were once again reminded that behind the success of this vast international expo, created by the efforts and sweat of countless people, was the role of hidden helpers like us.

A New Challenge, and Promising the Next Time

The experience of providing on-site emergency support at Try Everything 2025 was also significant for us. We were able to directly feel the dynamic energy of the rapidly changing startup ecosystem and gain valuable experience in building an efficient medical support system in a complex large-scale venue. Based on the know-how gained through this event, we will continue to do our best to ensure the safety of various global events and international expos, providing an environment where participants can focus solely on their goals.
