December Reflections

It's already December...
I hoped it wouldn't come, but here we are.
December certainly brings Christmas and a festive year-end atmosphere, but due to the nature of my job, it's an incredibly busy month.
There's little excitement, and honestly, it’s the most stressful time of the year.
However, I plan to endure it by indulging in my favorite foods.
The start of December should be delicious!
I visited a restaurant with a Jeju Island concept in Ilsan called Musasa.
I had no high expectations, but I ended up enjoying the food immensely.
The Jeju-style boiled pork and sesame oil noodles were fantastic!
I'm not usually a fan of boiled pork unless it's with bossam, but the combination with the owner's homemade green onion kimchi was delightful.
The sesame oil noodles were perfectly complemented by the subtle soy sauce, making them irresistible.
Despite it being early December, it was a very cold day.
Finding a café was challenging, so I quickly ducked into a nearby one, and it turned out to be a great choice.
It’s not easy to find a place that sells panna cotta, but I was thrilled to discover one!
They also had a rich chocolate dessert that was delicious.
My memory of the restaurant is a bit hazy, but I plan to add more details later.
It was nice to go on a date with my friend who used to be a colleague.
We worked together for about two years, and we get along so well that we still keep in touch without any awkwardness.
We share the same sense of humor, making our meetings a fun party.
We went to Hanmoedang because I mentioned craving it, and it was just as delicious as I remembered.
I had the spicy jjambbong rice noodles, which are the best no matter where you go.
There aren't many good cafés in the center of Jeongbalsan, but I always end up at Frank Coffee Bar.
The atmosphere is nice, the croffles are tasty, and the drinks are decent.
With strawberries in season, I tried the strawberry croffle, and it was incredibly sweet.
On the first snowy day, someone made a snowman in front of my house, and I had to take a picture.
After work on Friday, I headed to Seoul to meet a friend who used to be my boss but is now more like a friend.
It’s not easy to go to Seoul after work, but as our areas spread out, it’s becoming the only place to meet.
I visited Swig near Gongdeok, but I was late due to work issues, so I substituted with a pre-ordered photo.
It had been a while since I had Korean kalguksu, and I love spicy shabu shabu, which I enjoyed immensely.
They've expanded the parking area, making it easier to park.
We both love Chinese and Hong Kong cuisine, so we plan to travel to Hong Kong someday.
For now, we enjoyed Hong Kong-style toast and egg tarts.
I usually prefer Portuguese egg tarts, but I couldn't resist the one with the Hong Kong flag.
After a long time, I craved Kyochon chicken legs.
I only wanted the chicken legs, and receiving ten of them felt like winning the world.
On Sunday, I made some handmade sujebi, which looked like sliced king oyster mushrooms.
It was chewy and tasted good, but the broth was too salty.
Spending the weekend with my cat was very healing.
It's already the end of the semester for my graduate studies.
With work and school, I often miss meals, but I finally got to eat dinner after one class was replaced with a lecture.
There aren’t many days left to eat dinner at school, so I had a Schubi burger at McDonald's, which was my first time trying it.
Finally, on Jangshuleng's birthday, I wanted sushi, so I found a good place called Sangmu Sushi.
It's a favorite because the menu is well-structured, and there are no missing side dishes.
However, I was surprised to find the menu had changed a bit since my last visit.
This year's birthday gift was a carefully chosen tinted glass wine glass from Hey.
I was so grateful for their joy and appreciation for the gift.
Once again, I visited Frank Coffee Bar, planning to indulge in strawberry croffles.
On the weekend, I stopped by Bellacita before heading to Jamsil.
After some deliberation, I decided on Saint Augustine, which has a good range of dishes.
It's surprising that there are only two locations left in Gyeonggi Province, considering it was once a sensation.
I attended the Cirque du Soleil show, which was my first experience with a performance that had consciousness and self-awareness.
It was truly breathtaking.
Even though I dislike December, I can't help but feel a little warmth when I see the Christmas tree.
Despite the wait at La Concha Avenueel, I was relieved it was under 20 minutes.
Every dish we ordered was delicious, and I look forward to trying more next time.
On Sunday, my mom made my favorite dishes, including her delicious banquet noodles and sashimi rice bowl, which are unmatched.
This December has been great, and I hope the future is filled with good things.
