A great place for dining and picnicking in the beautiful outdoors
Munsoo Healing Picnic Area in Ulsan
Recommended picnic spot for families with a sandy playground and various play facilities
Hello,
This is Jeongwon Choi from the Ulsan City Blog Reporter Group.
Today, I visited a wonderful place that is perfect for having dinner with kids or going on a picnic.
It's the Munsoo Healing Picnic Area, located in a natural setting surrounded by mountains, where you can hear the birds chirping and enjoy fresh air.
These days, there aren't many places where children can play with dirt, but here, there is a sandy playground along with washing facilities.
If you visit during lunch, you can enjoy your meal while the kids play freely, and if you come in the evening, you can grill some meat.
Let me give you a detailed introduction, and I think you should definitely visit!
The perfect place to match the blue sky

The parking lot is located next to the International Archery Range, and it’s less than a 5-minute walk from there.
At the entrance, you’ll find the cute official mascot of Nam-gu, Jangsaeng-i, which is designed to resemble a ghost whale and looks friendly and adorable!
You can drive in to drop off your belongings and then exit the area.
Reservations can be made on the website below.
You must make a reservation in advance to visit and use the facilities!
At a reasonable price of 10,000 KRW for a picnic, I think it’s rare to find a place where six family members can enjoy together.
While dining, kids can get bored, but the various facilities allow them to play freely, which is great.
The dining area is divided into three sections.
The first section, as seen in the first photo, is near the management office and restroom. It seems suitable for families with young children as it is close to the washing area.
No grill is provided, but a fire pit and tables are available as standard.
As you go further up, you’ll see the main playground area.
The space resembles a treehouse, preserving the innocence of children, and feels like a scene out of a fairy tale.
Various amenities built with a budget of 500 million KRW from January to June 2022 are in excellent condition.
This indicates that the area is well-maintained.
To ensure a safe play area for children, sports activities are prohibited here.
Most activities, including kickboarding, soccer, baseball, and cycling, are not allowed. Pets are also not permitted, so please keep this in mind when visiting.
This area, completed with grass and eco-friendly materials, features a watermill and water facilities.
The sound of flowing water creates a cool resting spot in the summer.
Washing facilities can only be used for simple cooking purposes.
At night, the area transforms into a beautiful space with connected lighting.
In the uppermost section, there is a whale fountain, and every table is equipped with an umbrella, making it an ideal picnic spot!
This area also features the Munsoo Nuri Trail, which is a walking path connected to various sports facilities.
The well-prepared deck makes it perfect for a stroll, and the surrounding trees provide ample shade.
It's a great place to walk while enjoying the cool breeze.
The path continues from the bottom to the top, so if you bring a cart for your belongings, you can easily use this path to get up.
The incline is not steep, so it shouldn't be too difficult.
Visiting before the peak of summer would be a great way to enjoy your time!
In conclusion, if you want to enjoy a light picnic with your kids, this is a must-visit place.
It’s quiet, away from the main roads, and offers plenty of activities for children, making it a great spot for families to relax and spend time together.
I think it would be perfect for a light family picnic, and I plan to visit soon!
Thank you for reading!
